Description: El CISMID, ha venido realizando estudios sísmicos en diversos distritos de Lima Metropolitana, los cuales han sido integrados en un mapa de microzonificación sísmica preliminar como producto de un estudio realizado para la Asociación Peruana de Empresas de Seguros (APESEG) en el año 2005, denominado “Estudio de Vulnerabilidad y Riesgo Sísmico en 42 Distritos de Lima y Callao”. Continuando estos estudios aA partir del año 2010, en el marco del proyecto SATREPS, en convenio con el Ministerio de Vivienda, Construcción y Saneamiento (MVCS), y a partir del año 2013 financiado por la partida presupuestal 068 del Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas, por medio del proyecto: "Fortalecimiento de Tecnología para Mitigación de Desastres por Terremoto y Tsunami en el Perú", el CISMID ha realizado estudios detallados de microzonificación sísmica de diversos distritos de la ciudad de Lima, con la finalidad de obtener un mapa de microzonificación sísmica que sea utilizado para la evaluación de la amenaza sísmica y del riesgo sísmico en el país.
