Description: Dentro del Programa Presupuestal N°068 “Reducción de la Vulnerabilidad y Atención de Emergencias por Desastres”, el Instituto Geofísico del Perú ejecuta El Proyecto “Zonas Geográficas con Gestión de Información Sísmica” y como parte del mismo, la Dirección de Sismología desarrolla la Actividad “Generación de Estudios Territoriales de Peligro Sísmico” a fin de obtener el Mapa de Zonificación Sísmica – Geotécnica (Comportamiento Dinámico del Suelo) para áreas urbanas priorizadas en el Perú. Estos estudios permitirán tener mayor conocimiento sobre las características dinámicas del suelo sobre el cual se levantan las áreas urbanas y/o futuras áreas de expansión. Para ello se realiza la aplicación de diferentes metodologías que consideran información sísmica, geofísica, geológica, geodinámica, geomorfológica y geotécnica.
